Wow, you guys... you guys are blowing us away!

So we're making our rounds around the blogosphere apparently. And the comments we're getting are inspiring and incredibly supportive. We haven't done a major push yet so it's surprising to hear how amazed people are by what we're trying to do. So, we will return the love and show our thanks to those who have posted us so far. After all, that is the way of the bloggers is it not?

One that really stood out was Anthony Deloso's comments...

Their website design is stellar and I want to buy their coffee. I am somewhat of a coffee aficionado because I worked as a barista for almost a year. Therefore, when I saw innovation in coffee I almost fainted. Starbucks can’t compete.

Coffee. Simple Coffee. Innovative Coffee. And that’s the skinny.

Now we personally have not a clue who Anthony is, but needless to say we are quite happy with his understanding of Simple Coffee. We aren't trying to be the Anti-Starbucks, or Anti-anything. We're not trying to be anything, we are who we are, we're an open company, and we will always take on the perspective of the person looking at us. It's a risk not to tell people what they think we are with marketting, we know that. But we also don't think we have to. The intention is pure, the goal is moral.

Anyhow, a few other blogs that showed us love;
Josh Spear
Web Creme
Kate Teague
Tom Ma
Daily Slurp
Compradiccion

Anyone we've missed we apologize, but we're tracking as best as possible. Again, thanks to all you supportive folks. Keep an eye out for a bag of coffee you way as we'll try to send you some.

Online ordering up. Bags to hopefully fill.

Online ordering was put up a couple days ago. Generally for friends and family so we had something to show for months of effort. But please don't let that stop you from trying some coffee out. We're putting our first shipment from the roaster, and don't want em sitting around. So please, tell friends, tell relatives, tell clients, tell business associates, tell your boss, tell the cop that pulls you over (might get your out of a ticket). It's for a good cause, so don't be shy.

To anyone who has been keeping up, thank you a ton. We've been working hard for months now and are happy to have things going well. The public response has been inspiring to say the least. Thanks again.

So what's the next play in the game?
Still moving ahead, getting coffee and the good word out. But what path to take is something we're still exploring. Some of the paths we're exploring comes from talks with Brian Moss(Hanalei, The Ghost), a few grocery store chains, Common Cloud Records, friends in different industries, etc. We're trying to make sure the transparency of Simple Coffee shows through everything, from isle to our promotions. This makes planning and executing with confidence a bit harder, because marketting in it's worst form is social engineering... We don't ever want to do that.

One confirmed promotion is helping Bike to Work week in Chicago. We are all very happy to be working with the Chicago Bike Federation and love their enthusiasm to work with us, very rewarding to have called them up to ask if we can help some how.

Another is giving coffee to Thin Cities on Common Cloud Records for their upcoming tour. It's not actually for them, but so they can say thanks to the kind people that house em for a night while they hop around the U S of A playing their music. Good luck on the tour guys, be safe.

Are we ever going to see a full website?
I'm(Mike Minor) still working to clean off my plate of Acura and Transit Medium to finish up the full website. To everyone that has given me love for the current site thank you, it means a lot to know I did a good job on what was a short timeline. And for those who have complimented me on the logo and packaging please remember, it wasn't just me, it took Josh and Steve as well. They might not have finished them in Illustrator, but they put in time and sweat just as I did to make sure they look as nice as they do. In short, thanks for the support and expect a full website in the coming weeks.

Till next time, take care.

Brand Manager and definitely not a copywriter

Let us introduce ourselves...

Simple Coffee is a grass roots start-up company that devotes itself to de-mystifying coffee and as an end result helps the world by giving a large percentage of the proceeds to charitable foundations. We want to take the details that clutter the isles away, and present easy to understand, practical coffee. And not just normal run of the mill, but specialty coffee.

So how did Simple Coffee come about?

And it is... simple. Three guys got together, decided to do something that involved they're most passionate desires and ended up with Simple Coffee. The common goal was to create a company to be proud of, and to help the world as much as possible. This is pretty well accomplished by the structure of the company. Three guys, 23 years of age, busting their humps to make it succeed from the ground up. Minimal overhead, majority of procedures taken care of inhouse, and pure dedication.

So who are the three guys?

Josh Gore -
Product Development/Future Business
Steve Colletti -
Operations/Team Managment
Mike Minor - Brand Manager/Creative Director

So when are you three guys selling some coffee?
We're looking at launching our online store shortly... Can't give a date yet as Mike is working on everything that is Simple Coffee related. He did the logos, packaging, setup the myspace account, and is doing the guerilla marketting collateral. Basically, it's alot for one guy to take on, so we are waiting on giving dates for now. But this is definitely not to say the other two guys got easy jobs in Simple Coffee by any means... This is taking major sacrifice from all three to make this work.

Anything else?

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY, WE APPRECIATE THE SUPPORT! Keep checking back for updates and news :D
